Brothers,
I recently found out that the Service VP of my chapter is transferring
schools for the fall. Our by-laws do not state what to do in case of a
vacancy. Considering that we were hoping to get a headstart on planning
projects for the fall, I'm not sure whether I (as President) should appoint
someone that is around for the summer, or whether I should just wait until
our first meeting once school is back in session. I'm looking for suggestions
and recommendations. We are planning on sending a summer newsletter out to
our chapter which will notify everyone of the vacancy. Please send any
responses to either the address listed above or APO-L but not both... Thanks.
