Yes, Delphi is one of a select few commercial services which have FTP
available, but it is not the only one. Others that I am aware of include the
WELL (Whole Earth 'lectronic Link), a BBS system based out of the SanFrancisco
area and PSI (with their $180/month full blown accounts).

I've never used the a later services, but I have been a Delphi Subscriber for
about 3.5 months. I will say that their FTP access is pretty good and is
what I used to put files on the FTP site last spring.

The cost for an account is $10 per month plus $3 per month to access the
internet services. This includes 4 hours of access per month, with additional
time costing about $5 per hour. Access is via Sprintnet, BTtymnet (surcharged
during business hours), direct dial to Boston, MA or Kansas City, MO, or
Telnet from the internet. They claim to support only 2400bps, but 9600bps
BTtymnet lines showes improved throughput (about 4800bps throughput).

If you have questions or want to get the numbers to set up an account, please
feel free to contact me.

If you do send mail to me, send it to SBEGIN@mcimail.com rather than via
delphi. I check this account daily, but don't on delphi.
