Ok everybody. I have the new FTP site up and running on a new
machine. Here's the deal.
FTP to vtucs.cc.vt.edu
Login as anonymous and use eagle as your password. (If you ever have
problems with that, you can try a few others like oak, diamond, and
whatever other similar things that I can think of).
cd filebox
cd nyman
There are currently 3 directories under my directory (nyman is mine as
is anything below it) by the following names: apo, aposoc, and
apobylaw. I currently do not have full ftp access, so I am using
other people to get files onto the site. I have a 3 meg quota, so
once that is used up, it might be a day or so before I get it
enlarged. (One of the things about this site is that it is officially
in beta test, so I can't guarantee much. But it is a real machine,
unlike mine).
Right now there is not much on the site because I am still trying to
get the files that were on my machine onto it.
Please let me know if the machine does anything wierd while you are
using it. (enyman@vt.edu or aphio@vtvm1.cc.vt.edu/aphio@vtvm1.bitnet)
Don't spread the word of this machine beyond apo circles. In order to
make it easy to get and send files, the security is not as tight as I
would prefer. BTW, there is also some stuff in the pub directory and
you will see that no matter what password you use to log in.
in lfs,
Rick Nyman
