APO Chapters may legally exclude females. Title 9 only applies to organizations
which receive federal funding. There may, however, be state laws or college
regulations that may affect this.

Delta Pi chapter started accepting female members in 1968. A few members were
so upset about this that they formed their own service fraternity: Alpha Psi
Omega, which also used the colors blue and gold. Some women decided turn
about was fair play and formed a service sorority: Kappa Psi Omega which also
used the colors blue and gold. Today, Kappa Psi Omega no longer exists and
Alpha Psi Omega has forgotten the goal of service. Delta Pi chapter, however,
is the second largest student organization on campus.

But let me re-state my basic position:

   Principles: Leadership, Friendship, Service
The code: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind,
Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, Reverent

If gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, left-handedness,
or whatever become issues, we're losing sight or our goals.
