My understanding is that any NEW chapter that will charter at a school
that is co-ed MUST be a co-ed chapter.

Any chapter that was active in 1976, when the National Fraternity went
co-ed, may remain all-male provided that the chapter has remained active
since then.  Also, the administration of the chapter's institution must
have no objections to the chapter remaining all-male.

I hope that made sense.
