Nationals doesn't have a policy- they leave it up to the individual
chapters. Some chapters don't allow their pledges to wear anything
with APhiO on it (except the pledge pin, of course :) while others
will allow pledges to wear event shirts, but not 'letters', and still
others let the pledges wear any damn thing they want. It was a
matter of contention at my home chapter (PSU) a few semesters ago
when some of us went to another sections sectional conference and
the host chapter's pledges were wearing their letters. One of our
brothers thought that our pledges would feel 'second class' if they
had seen that. He was thinking of taking action at nationals but
never did. Maybe in Dallas?? We'll see.
