It's spam and it's most like a come-on for a porn site or a sex tour
vendor. Key words "Hospitality Management".

I get dozens of variations on this each week.

Subject: [APO-L] A strange e-mail

I got the following message in an e-mail account I use for graduate
school/job applications and professional associations. I've only had
the account since September, and never shared it with anyone in APO. I
haven't sent anything APO related from this account either.

===========================
Hi Ms. President,

I am Genevieve Tingson from the Philippines, I would like to be part
of your sisterhood, unfortunately I am very far from your home base. I
am 19 years old and currently taking up Hospitality Management in the
Philippines. Please give me a chance to be part of your sorority. I
promise to do my very best to fit ypour standards. I am a regular
school girl and I want to be part of your organization because I know
that you can help me.

I am hoping for your immediate response. thank you so much.

===========================

I have no idea how to respond to this... even though she never
actually says it, I'm pretty sure she means APO. Any ideas for what I
should do? Perhaps someone more familiar with ICAPO could help? I
wonder what gave her the impression I'm a president.
