Where do we draw that line?

Well, I think those are all valid questions, and ones the National
Convention will need to answer as part of this proposal.  I think this
is a valid forum for discussing those ideas until then.

I don't feel they need to withdraw from active status.  They may have to
go to associate status.  I don't see being an active to be a 'conflict
of interest'.  I would see the need for them to withdraw from any
chapter office.  As I mentioned prior regarding the OA youth officers.
The sectional/regional/national youth officers still remain active
members of their lodge, but they ARE required to withdraw from any
chapter office.

On another point:
I also don't see anything in this proposal that makes me think they are
considering lessening the power of the National Convention.  The whole
thrust of this proposal is to make the Board more responsive in between
National Conventions.
