Congratulations to the DePaul University Petitioning Group. After nearly
two years of hard work, the extension held its petitioning ceremony on
Sunday, May 22. The Gamma Sigma chapter at University of Chicago served as
the ritual team. 10 prospectives were initiated as new petitioners, plus
another 3 prospectives will be initiated at a ceremony held by the
extension group on Tuesday night. Two DePaul graduate students, who were
already activated brothers went through the ritual as a "re-pledging"
effort: Amy Goodwin, who was an honorary re-charter member of the Alpha
Beta Omicron chapter at Elmhurst College in 2004; and Eric Field, who pledged
the Alpha Phi chapter at Washington University in St. Louis in 1998. Best
of luck for the DePaul University Petitioning Group and we look forward to
their re-chartering in 2006 as the Upsilon Iota chapter!
