Hello everyone -
Are you interested in Service? (of course, you are in APO !!)
Did you attend a Boy Scout Jamboree when you were younger and want
to go back again to help out?
Or did you never get a chance to go to a Jamboree and want to give it a
try?
Or maybe you've never been involved with the Boy Scouts but would
like to spend several days this summer providing service?
This summer, at the end of July and in early August, Alpha Phi Omega
members (current students and alumni) have the opportunity to support
the largest Boy Scout gathering in the country. It only happens once
every four years - and this summer is it, at Fort AP Hill, near Fredericksburg,
Virginia. It has been many years since the Fraternity has participated in
Jamboree in this way, so you can be part of a new tradition. All are
welcome - no BSA experience or membership is required.
The cost is quite low, and we have funds to help those who are interested
with travel costs (and registration fees), as long as you are committed
to help out.
There are two opportunities - you can help with one or both of the sessions,
July 22 - July 28th and July 30 - August 4.
The fee for student participants in each session is $100, or $190 for
alumni. As noted above, we have additional funds to help with travel
costs to Virginia, and can help coordinate travel to and from airports, etc.
More information and an application form can be downloaded from
the Fraternity web site:

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
