Hi all - Just a little administrative note:

I've made a change to the APO-L list settings that will allow us to strip
out the HTML portion of messages sent with both plain text and HTML
versions. This should make the digest a bit easier to read for all who
read APO-L that way. HTML tags in "plain text" messages will not be
affected.

Before making this change permanent, I'd like some feedback (sent just to
me, no need to send it to the list) if you see any changes (good, bad or
otherwise) in the way you receive APO-L messages as a result. Obviously,
I don't want to inflict more pain than I'm trying to eliminate! I'll
also be looking at posts in more than one e-mail client (browser-based,
AOL and plain text only) to see what they look like for myself.

As it is, the one potentially negative result will be that any messages
sent in "HTML only" will be rejected, but my statistics show that we've
only been getting about 5 of these posts per year, and users sending such
messages have gotten a reminder from me that APO-L has had (for quite
some time) a policy asking that "HTML only" messages not be posted to the
list. If it's a concern, we'll take a look at what alternate
instructions can be sent in any rejection notice so that said senders
aren't left wondering how to get their message out.

Again, we'll see how this works - let me know!

Fraternally,
