I have access to the complete list of Circle K Clubs both United States and
International as well as their membership numbers per campus. I believe they
have around 500+ clubs. Gamma Sigma Sigma probably has around 40-50 collegiate
chapters (and another 15 alumni chapters).
I guess the question is though, what are APO's peer groups and which ones
do college students join in competition with APO? Being familiar with both
groups, I would think the most similar is Circle K. On most campuses, there is
either a co-ed APO or a male chapter of APO and a chapter of GSS. There is very
rarely a campus where GSS exists and the APO chapter there is co-ed.
Roteract is another group that probably competes with APO. I'm not sure of
their
size or strength. They are the collegiate affiliate of Rotary. I get the
feeling
that they are stronger Internationally than in the U.S. Collegiate chapters
of Habitat for Humanity are fairly widespread but I don't think they neccesarily
take members away from APO.
If you want, I can email you the most current U.S. Circle K listing sheets.
