2. Join a Team as a Walker/Participant

To Join a Team:
Teams are typically 8-15 walkers that take turns walking for their team.
Generally, team members will walk together and walking time can be
scheduled to accommodate anyone needs.

If you would like to participate in one of the 4 Relays above, please go
to the website listed or email the contact person.
If you cannot join these, but you would like to participate in a relay in
your area please see the Relay for Life homepage at
http://www.cancer.org/docroot/GI/gi_1.asp?sitearea=GI.
You can learn more about Relay for Life and search for relay dates in
your area.

3. Donate to a Team's Fundraising Goal

To Donate to the team (or individual). You can do a Team General
Donation, a Relay General Donation or a Donation to a participant.

To donate to one of the Boston area teams above, click one of the links
above:
* If you would like to make a Relay general donation select General
Donation from the left side navigation bar.
* If you would like to make a Team donation find the team name on the
right hand side of the main event homepage.
* If you would like to make an individual donation, select Sponsor a
Participant and select their name from the list (you can also select an
individual from the Team Page).

A Donation can be made via credit card on the site. If you are
uncomfortable with that, but would still like to donate, feel free to
select 'Donate or Register by Mail' from the left navigation button and
mail it or contact one of the contacts above.

4. Volunteer to Help with any Logistical/Planning Activities

There are plenty of jobs/tasks that need to be completed prior to and
during the two days of the relay. If you are interested in helping with
any part of the relay such as setup/take down, registration,
entertainment, helping in the relay store or with refreshments, etc
select 'Volunteer Registration' from the left hand navigation button.
Select what you are interested in and enter your contact information and
someone from the relay committee will contact you soon after.

5. To Purchase a Luminaria in Memory of a Lost Loved One

Luminaries are lighted memorials that line the walking track at Relays.
They serve as inspiration for those walking and a dedication to those
who are no longer with us. A donation of at least $10 will secure a
Luminaria which will bear the name of the loved one lost and will be lit
at the beginning of the event.

So as you can see there is many ways to be involved in a Relay For Life.

Thank you for reading this far!

YiLFS,
Katie Thorsen
