Chiming in as the existing-in-some-space-between-active-and-cruft person
here with some attempt at a solution:
Would it be possible to relocate the vise to the silkscreening room? If I
recall the tables there are of sturdy constitution and an appropriate
height. I'm not sure how frequently the vise is needed but if it's on the
order of a few times a year perhaps the walk wouldn't be too inconvenient.
Concerning the pencil sharpener, I think it could be serviced and
reinstalled elsewhere in the office.
I agree that the paper cutter is in disrepair and given its handiness is
worth keeping. However, it is my opinion that unlike the vise, for which
height is a safety concern, perhaps the height of the paper cutter is not
as imperative an issue? If so maybe it could be placed elsewhere in the
room?
The office is a bit crowded right now and I think getting rid of the
worktable could go a long way.
We could also try getting a different workbench? The problem with the
current one is that its legs don't allow for much storage beneath it.
Currently there's like one bin underneath it which is why it seems like it
takes up space that could be used for other purposes. A different
workbench could allow for continued use of the surface on top while also
allowing for more effective overall use of the space.
