Ellen, this really did happen last term, although I can't
remember exactly how. If you still don't believe me, ask Kevin Iga or
Dave Kern.
I conceed to Ellen that the issue is often more of whether
mercy is appropriate than one of fairness. My current burnout level
biases me toward mercy, but maybe the chapter would be better off
without those of us who need too much of it.
