Would it be possible (or is this the evil of all evils) to have
NFS and mount_nfs available in the install kernel? that way,
if we mess up installing with AFS, we can at least fallback to
something that probably works and we can more reliably figure out
(setting up an NFS server to house most of the install stuff
shouldn't be hard).
