So, Nathan can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the two things he
would like to see are:
* Your change should have been committed to the mainline of
sipb-athena first. (No doubt he wouldn't have complained
about this alone, but it's a prerequisite for the next
thing.)
* The log message for the change to the sipb-athena-8_2 branch
should have said something like:
Pull up change from rev 1.3 to 8.2 branch.
(Athena isn't ready for /usr/athena/sbin yet. Pity.)
That is, the log message for every commit to the 8.2 branch should
reference a specific revision or set of revisions on the mainline,
except in very special cases. This way you can tell pretty easily
what mainline changes have made it onto the 8.2 branch, without having
to compare log message text.
