I did some work in that area, and caught that problem.
Also, the cookie interface changed in 1.3E (space for cookies is now
allocated by the readdir operation). I rewrote this and will be
commiting fixes to the MIT source tree (and *finally* making a new
libafs release to transarc..) in the near future.
