Java is a strongly typed, general purpose programming language.
In my experience teaching C and C++, that makes it "complex".
Obviously complex is a relative term. But I do NOT envision
non-programmers becoming java wizards unless they obtain the
training in logic and problem solving that general purpose
programming languages require.

Agreed. But if you have no programming experience, then the
Java leap is HUGE.
