Has anyone tried to run applets via Netscape where the applet references
user written native methods (which are already installed on the client
system - not downloaded) ? This worked with HotJava (Alpha3), but I'm
curious what if any support is there in Netscape - since Netscape stores
java classes in the ".car" file, and their security model seems very
conservative for now...
One piece of this is: does Netscape support the CLASSPATH and/or
LD_LIBRARY_PATH variables?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
