We recently created a fairly extensive multithreaded app with animation
and network (IRC) functionality. Much to our dismay when we moved it
from our Win95 development machine to Solaris it ran, but only to a
certain extent. What displayed fine in Win95 disappeared entirely under
Solaris, even with a recompile, no AWT components, images, or anything
were displayed. The canvas appears for each of the three main panels,
and that is all.
I understrand that without showing you the source code it is impossible
to pinpoint the problem, I just know this, that there are some hidden
problems with the portability. Has anyone seen problems like this? Am I
missing something here?
I am not talking about Netscape either...This is all under the appletviewer.
Arggggggghhh!!
- Nik ;)
