Sun is looking for people to help in the effort, I would love to do what I
can to see Java running ASAP. This includes testing at any level during the
development cycle and coding.

I brought up this point about a week ago but the Thread Manager only
operates in Pre-emptive mode on 68k Macintoshes only. There is also very
little you can do with the OS from a pre-emptive thread, so the Java port
will have to be done without the help of the Thread Manager. It was said
that this would be accomplished by checking at every branch or method call
if a yield should occur.
