the pictures in Time Magazine (when the "bank" finally closed) showed
a rather decorative entrance with a sign over it; they *called* it a
bank, it was *labelled* a bank -- so maybe it was a lame one, but some
differences between a credit union and a bank are what regulations it
comes under and what insurance it is either eligible for or required
to have.
Office space within a mile of the capitol is *very* expensive;
"thousands of dollars" is not unreasonable for a few months rent...
