jik: I think that if the jury hangs, the judge can declare a mistrial and start the whole thing over. But I'm not 100% sure. sethf: Yes, jury nullification has worked against black lynchees (is that a real word? It is now). It has also worked in favor of "illegal" union organizers and strikers.
