The numbers described by the POSTNET code in my .plan file were
three-digit octal ASCII codes. (Spaces and punctuation were coded as
well.) The uncoded file read:
If you send me an email copy of this message in plain English text
before midnight on 16 March 1991, I will buy you a small cup of
Toscanini's ice cream.
(The original date, before the hint, was March 9th.) sethf was the only
person who sent a copy of the above message (and we still need to
arrange for him to collect).
We now return you to the interesting and amusing .plan files already in
progress.
