The Devil's in the Details

Conclave
~~~~~~~~
Ann-Marie: Falling will be our delegate to Conclave.
Nationals
~~~~~~~~~
Ann-Marie: We have five hotel rooms for Nationals. At next Chapter
Meeting we'll choose voting delegates. Check your email, and let me
know if you're interested. Talk to Carolyn, who may suggest
cooperative schemes of transport. Legislation has physically arrived.
It'll be available at chapter meeting.
Emily: Can you summarize interesting legislation for the Apoc?
Ann-Marie: [Affirmative]
Oscar: Voting delegates usually do that as well.
Ann-Marie: How shall we handle the "brothers only" materiel?
Cathy: That part is not usually of much interest, since it is all
ritual stuff.
There is a spirited discussion about the plans regarding Joe, limos,
exotic dancers, and transportation to Nationals. The debate dies
after the lack of funding is realized.
Internationals

There was no discussion about Internationals.
The Usual Business

SVP (Cathy): Someone in this room wants to go to WBUR, Daniel's
project, from 6:45 to 9:15. Besides that, there is a small Rosie's
Place project on the 8th. I'm looking for a small construction
project on the 7th to boot. Do people want a project on the weekend
of PTRM? Crochet? More projects are coming up. I need more people
to run them, and write articles.
MVP (Brian): (Channel'd:) Pledges exist.
If you haven't met them yet, do so, dammit.
Treasurer (Oscar): You will have a summary of how the chapter stands
next week. (Finances have been analyzed.) New RFPs are out. Officers
should check the board for RFPs to sign. The Fridge has been
purchased, but they haven't found 84 Mass. Ave. yet. It set us back
$500, and is the same size as F. F.
Oscar: [Alumni-Liason]: AXAA is maintaining a new list called
apo-alumni. Use apo-news to reach active members, and apo-alumni for
alumni and actives. apo@ai is no longer for official use.
Oscar: [Sysadmin] Linux will be reinstalled on apo.mit.edu We'll test
the network connection with different hardware in the next few weeks,
so we can make a substantive argument with IS.
FC (Brad): Stir Fry went off well. Rotating dinner trips have not
worked so well.
Suggestions from audience:

* Give more advance notice.
* Have regular schedule.
Straw statistic: 7/14 people would go on Friday dinner trips.
AVP (Michael): The minutes go ever on and on...
Historian (Sara): Nothing to report.
President (Ann-Marie): CPPC is to be on the 15th. Yale's Leadership
Workshop will be on the 21st. (cf: Initiation & SFF on 21st, PTRM &
PFM on 14th)
Ann-Marie: We'll talk about CPPC at next Execcomm. Think about your
offices, what you've done, and so on. Definite numbers for Book
Exchange will be available next week or week after.
Apoc Subdiscussion

APOcEd (Emily): Pick up your Apocs starting on Friday. They'll be
mailed Monday. What do people want to see in the Apoc. More upcoming
events? More history? We will go over budget, so I want to be sure
people care about what's in it.
Yale: Even if some people don't read it, that doesn't mean people
don't get information from it.
Brad: Do people have their own calendars?
Sara: I don't know if I'll be hungry ahead of time, so dinner trips in
the Apoc don't really help me.
Ann-Marie: We could put doodles in the Apoc.
Jamie: We could profile a "Brother-of-the-two-weeks"
OROD: Mold of the Month!
Emily: Who is the AXAA newsletter editor?
Oscar: Talk to Dale.

Treasurer (Oscar): A few more things _ if we run out of drop poster
receipts, print more. I don't want handwritten notes and money in the
cashbox. We may have another Fincomm meeting within a month. If
you're interested in being a webmaster, let me know. We'll overhaul
the web page soon.
AVP (Michael): If you want to have an event in a classroom, please ask
me to reserve the room for you! I cannot guess who wants which rooms
when.
ASC (Ari): Steak Fry happened. I have great new respect for Kevin Dahm.
UMOC

UMOC (Ari): When we're done, we'll have zillions of kudos to lots of
people, zillions of things we did wrong, and a long report. Tomorrow
there will be a debate on the nature of ugliness in lobby 10 at noon,
since we felt candidates have not been campaigning enough. Please
have your candidates show up tomorrow! If they can't make it, let us
know so we can pseudo-reschedule it. If you have any time, please
show up.
Yale: Have you considered a sandwich advertisement? A three foot
(91.4 cm) chunk of cardboard is a formidable obstacle.
UMOC (Ari): We have problems just getting people to show up. It will
be going from 11 am -- 3 pm.
Ann-Marie: I may go, but I can't commit.
Cathy: I can vouch for after 1 pm.
Ari: If anyone is willing to be an impartial monster, let us know.
You get to wear Groucho glasses.
Announcements

Cathy: Please please please sign up for George's Island, especially so
we know how much we can be in charge of. Also, someone go to the WBUR
thing. If you, your mother, someone you know, or your cat would like
to PC, let me know.
