This is the first part of my first story in tlhIngan Hol. I have been studying SuvwI' Hol for all of two months, so I ask for your patience. Please give me feedback and let me know anything that needs correcting. I don't really intend to make this story too long, and I am already too interested in Qov's ongoing saga to flood this list with another (much more inferior) story. Here are some words/proper names that I think should be introduced up front. I suck at making up Klingon names so I nicked these:
Qel - Krell, the captain of the I.K.S. Devisor ( toQDuj 'oghwI')
HuS - Huss, Krell's tactical officer AND head of security (that get's important later...)
torgh - Torg, helmsman
orayangan - Orion. I saw this term on the KLI's Extended Corpus page. I hate to use it, but this story is set during a time when the Organian Peace Treaty is in effect. The Klingon privateers in my story (like Krell) are either paying Orion pirates to attack colonies or are faking Orion raids.
'orghengan rojHom mIch - Organian Treaty Zone. I am certain someone else has come up with a much better name, but I couldn't find it. This is the zone the Organians set up in "Errand of Mercy". Since open warfare is prohibited in this zone, the Klingons have had to rely on more devious ways to curtail Federation influence.
