Hm. I found this a bit jarring. Mahoun's attitude towards the thing is hard to
pin down. In the previous section he doesn't seem to have so much problem with
'eSSIm in particular, but here there seems to be a sudden alteration in his
mindset that's a little difficult to understand.

Very powerful stuff. (But then, it's powerful subject matter.) I think if ever
there was a bit of prose that showed how vivid Klingon can be as a language,
this is it - this is some of the bluest writing I've read in a while!
