Woo, getting near the end. Now I doubt I'll have the next 'ay''a'
ready in time, so you may get a chance to catch up. Let me know if
you've got any favourite loose ends you'd like tied up.

Hey, at least I didn't break his arm. I haven't broken anyone's arm
this whole story. What a warm fuzzy story. Only a little bit of off
screen torture. Have to fix that.
I think you'll all get it without a note, but as I really appreciate
the feedback I'm getting I'll be explicit. I haven't messed up my
prefixes in Mahoun's speech and he isn't insulting his host by
switching from clipped to proper Klingon. He's starting out thinking
in his own language Hol and consciously selecting words to say, but
as he starts speaking more, he relaxes and speaks better.
At first I was going to write Mahoun's lines all in very poor
Klingon, but I started slipping up and improving it, and then I
realized I really liked the idea that he feels as though he has
memorized a little Klingon, and he feels better believing that he
only knows a few words, but really he has absorbed it through the
most brutal learning programme ever, and when he stops thinking about
it, is quite close to fluent. In more than just the language. But
more on that in the next chapters.
