I used HurDagh chu'wI' for "bass guitar player", although HurDagh is technically a generic term for any stringed instrument. I was thinking of using leSpal since I also play guitar and Les Paul Jrs are some of my favorite models, but I didn't like the way it looked/sounded (and bass is my primary instrument). I've found that just choosing a tlhIngan pong (which you don't have to) is fascinating enough...trying to express Terran concepts in a language spoken by a fictional alien race that is supposed to live 36.7 light years from Earth is a great way to start practicing.

Which is why I choose quljIb, aka "fire hair", since my red hair is my
most readily identifiable feature, and jIbDoq just doesn't have the same
feel, somehow...

BTW, if you look back a (great) number of years, I was on this list
before. Now I have time again! Qapla'!

quljIb
