{'o} now replaces two other particles that have been used: *{va} (from the Bible and Shakespeare projects?) and *{cha} which was used by Paramount's writers:
cha Worf <mumble mumble>
"For Worf's [a jolly good fellow]" (TNG "Parallels")
sung at Worf's surprise birthday party in an alternate reality. (Okay, maybe this was one was a mistake by one his Enterprrise crewmates!)
