I never thought that {-Daq} had anything to do with motion or
direction. It merely indicates location. {-vo'} adds direction to {-
Daq} the way that {-ta'} adds intentionality to {-pu'}. My mistake was
to presume that direction implied motion. It's a simple enough error,
since contexts where direction don't imply motion are somewhat
limited. It involved a set of verbs small enough that I overlooked them.
As for {DungwIjDaq}, we should note that this probably indicates that
the {DaqwIjvo'} that I didn't like earlier is probably an official
grammatical error. The {-vo'} turns this into a locative, and as such,
it should have just been {jIHvo'}. Then again, this is the kind of
error that even Okrand may have made in earlier canon.
It maps better in English to say "the area above me" instead of "at my
area above".
