I haven't read the article in HoLQed, but to me at any rate, "woQ" doesn't
sound all that much like "Worf." I've wondered about this since I bought TKD,
and my best guess is that it's "worgh," since "rgh" is the only permissible
final in Klingon of the form rC. "woQ" (=authority) and "wov" (=be bright), the
latter of which I think is the second most plausible possibility, do have the
advantages of meaning something, as many Klingon names seem to (QaS=troops,
matlh=be loyal, QeL=doctor), but then again this is not true of all Klingon
names (mara, qeyLIS, qoLotlh), and Worf does pronounce the "r" in his name, at
least when speaking English...
