I seem to remember reading that ferengi was loosely derived from foreigner.
The validity of this is a) dubious at best
b) reliant on two memories
c) valueless, as I've always thought the Ferengi to be
hate-substitutes for the Klingons. Fear the Klingon; do not laugh at one
lightly. Laugh at a Ferengi and he'd charge you for the oxygen. Laugh at a
Klingon and he'd charge you.
This brings up another point. Ignore this if it is dealt with in TKD, but how
are pronouns dealt with? Is there a useful genderless pronoun, which I could
have used without feeling foolish in the message above?

(I'm not even certain these are my views. How could they be anyone else's?)
(Hohum...something _else_ to translate over the weekend.)
