That is a good question, but I wasn't sure, and didn't know how to 
make sure, and since things weren't working, it seemed like a good 
place to start, since the IP_Masq howto wants you to say yes to 
something experimental (config ipautofw or something) I thought it 
was worth the try.

Anyways, I downloaded 2.0.35 from kernel.org instead of the rpm 
and that worked fine.  Don't ask me why....
