If you get that going please post what you did to the list. RCN is in my
area too. I tried to get my friend's Linux box going on RoadRunner (Time
Warner) but ran in to problems. Also if anyone here uses RoadRunner (Time
Warner) and Linux please tell me how. I tried enabling the DHCPC client and
it get's the name server, gateway, IP, etc... all looks good and I can do
DNS resolution. I can ping the gateway, but packets won't got past the
gateway. He has windows too and when he uses the cable modem in windows he
has to logon to something before IP starts working. I was stumped, but I
only spent like 20 minutes looking at it.

Subject: RH and Cable Modems

RCN, my cable company, has recently started offering
cable modem service in my area. Their customer service
is still a little vague about the details but apparently
they are going to be using a Hybrid two-way cable modem.

Anybody had any experience with RCN, Hybrid and Linux?
