I use a hybrid COM-21 setup (hopefully this will soon be ALL digital).

Linux works just fine with it...

Uplink is Dialup (using DialD, IPMasq, etc.)

Downlink is via Cable Modem.

I have BOTH the cable modem "box" and several machines plugged into a common
10/100BaseT hub.

Everything works great... I'm running a local DNS as well.

I'll probably have to drop two LAN cards into the Linux box when it goes ALL
digital (a circuit board install for the COM21 will take care of this). This
will be required since if I do not do this all of my machines will appear on
the ISP's (the cable modems all appear to be one HUGE network) subnet...
something which they might not allow...

One lan card will then be for the Cable modem, the other to my local
network.
