Your friend is wrong. And 'Doze doesn't like being anywhere other than
first, although there're tricks to make it work that way.

Printer, I believe so but, you might have to set it for a different
Canon (not looking at the choices at the moment and can't recall
whether it's one of them or not).

Linux Netscape isn't going to do too well with folders on a do$ or 'Doze
partition, I don't believe.

CYRIX-friendly? Couldn't say.
