	Depends on your setup, but the usual answer is no. If you are
using a 2.0.x kernel, it's compile UP by default. If you're using a 2.1.x
kernel, it's compiled SMP by default. Of course you can change this
behavior in either version, by editing the makefile in the kernel source
top level directory, and recompiling the kernel.
