The easiest fix is just to add the word "linear" to lilo.conf
and rerun lilo.

Subject: Another "LI" boot problem
Bad news from another Linux machine having (partial) boot problems.
I'm running a single hard drive, single OS RH Linux box - LILO is set to
boot from
(obviously) /dev/hda. On booting from the HD, it makes it as far as
"LI", then....nothing.
On booting from floppy - everything is just fine.
Here's my lilo.conf file:
boot=/dev/hda
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
prompt
timeout=50
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.0.35-1
label=linux
root=/dev/hda1
read-only
Any thoughts? If you need any more info about the system (I'm sure
you'll) just holler.
