I recently purchased a video card with an ATI Rage IIc chipset. I had a
lot of problems getting it running but I eventually succeeded. Add the
following lines to the device section of your XF86Config file:

	ChipId 0x4755
	ChipRev 0x01

After doing this the X-server still would not start-up but the errors I
was getting without the above lines added had gone away. I had to
disable acceleration by adding the following line to the Display
section:

	Option "noaccel"

This will slow down the video card a bit but it did allow me to get
X-Windows to run with my video card. If you would like to see my
XF86Config file just email me personally.

	Good Luck,
	Brandon Kolbe
