here's the solution i used for my ati card (ati 3d expression+pc2tv/ati
mach64)

insert installation cdrom into your drive and use following commands:

mount /mnt/cdrom

cd /mnt/cdrom/RedHat/RPMS

rpm -ivh --force XFree86-Mach64 -3.3.1-15.i86.rpm

now use Xconfigurator to configure X...and startx

I also used MetroX which was so much easier!
