I would probably put about 32 - 64 MB on the swap, just in case. The
whole usr directory tree for a single user installation can grow to about
800 MB. Therefore, I would reccomend something like this:

swap: 64 mb
/ (root): 100 or so
/usr: 400 - 600 mb
/usr/bin 200 mb
/usr/lib 300 mb
(Make sure /home is relativly large, because you can save files on it
that you don't want
to delete if you reinstall.)
Also, /var should probably be a partition of about 100-200 mb.
