Guyz pleez help me out!
the problem is that i want to configure 5 machines as routers.
The scenario is that we have 5 offices in a single city. Now i want to
connect these 5 LANS together through ISDN(bri) lines. One of these
offices will be connected to the ISP; which will be internet gateway.
Questions:
1)How can i configure linux redhat machines as routers. i.e. how will
i define that a specific machine is on this gateway.
2)How can i define the routing table and where?
e.g,
one LAN(which is connected to isp) has ip's between 192.168.0.1
-192.168.0.20
second LAN has ip's between 192.168.0.21 - 192.168.0.40
third LAN has ip's between 192.168.0.41 - 192.168.0.60
fourth LAN has ip's between 192.168.0.61 - 192.168.0.80
fifth LAN has ip's between 192.168.0.81 - 192.168.0.90
So how can a machine from LAN 1 connects to a machine in LAN 4 whose
IP is 192.168.0.65?
How will i define in the routing table of LAN1 that machines with ip's
192.168.0.61 - 192.168.0.80 are on this/that gateway?
I've read routed but i cant find any howto for configuring a machine as
a gateway rooter.
3) the four LANS i.e, 2,3,4,5 will connect to LAN 1, and these have to
be connected through modems, the gateway machine which will be connected
to ISP will be having 10 modems (atleast) , than i have to buy and
configure a "concentrator";;;Now the question is HOWTO configure a
concentrator in linux(redhat 5.0) so the machine can recognize ten
modems (interfaces)???
So pleeeeez help me out!!!!!
Thanks,
Waqar.
