  Go with the scsi drive.  A few months ago I switched from a floppy tape
to a scsi tape and the speed difference is impressive.

  Find yourself a copy of the Linux Journal. There's a company in Texas
(SSW?) which sells NCR adapters for about $64 including shipping. They
work just fine in my RH 5.1 system.

  BTW, I have a Seagate TR-4 drive and I really like it. I also use BRU
2000 for backup software and it's working flawlessly for me.
