SB16 PnP and it's Joystick port - how to turn on ...

Got the latest joystick driver, created all the devices, installed the
modules ok.
But there is an error about the joystick not being avalible.
The extra buttons work - because everything but the normal two buttons
pass through the keyboard, and those can be re-directed as well ( to be
programable - very nice compared to my old thrusmaster. )
But the actualy joystick bit isn't wotking. Playing Quake2 with
just the two top hats and the fire button is not fun :)
My understanding from the FAQ in the driver source tree is that
PnP cards need to have the joystick port enabled via isapnptools. There
is the sticking point - I haven't the first clue at the moment how to go
about doing that, since the nice redhat soundconfig set up the sound
parts
of my Sound Blaster 16 PnP.
