Hey all :)
I currently have my users set up in a way that they belong to their own
group. anything that is created by the user is automatically assigned to
the same group to.
eg. in \home, the users listed with an ls - l are as follows..
drwx------ 5 majost majost 1024 Sep 30 11:08 majost
drwx------ 3 maxwedge maxwedge 1024 Sep 1 06:34 maxwedge
drwx------ 5 info info 1024 Oct 5 01:25 info
i wanna make a group called "users" with the same priviledges, and assign
all these existing users to this group. is there an easy way to do this?
i'd like to set it up so that any new users that i add will assign the
group "users" to it.
also, what is the best way to change the group of a user? i've done this
by editing the passwd file.. .. just wanna know the "right" way to do it :)
