Hi all,

I have been encountering a kernel panic error that corrupts my fs
every time. The problem occurs after two to three days of continuous
use; after being up for about three days. bdflush is running, as is
update. But the error occurs trying to page to virtual memory and
freezes the machine. This machine is our news server, for a very
small feed, and seems to operate fine for the first few days too. The
install was very minimal, with no X or any other memory hogging
services...this is strictly for news.

This machine is:
486dx4 120
16 MB RAM
AHA-2742vl scsi host adapter
1.06 GB SCSI HD Conner
4.3 GB SCSI HD Quantum
It has a 32 MB swap partition

I am unsure what could be causing this besides the adapter, but even
that seems to function fine for awhile. So, what else can I do to fix
this problem...buy more RAM?

Any help or ideas appreciated.

Thanks

Chris
