I like the administrative tools too. What would really put a smile on my
face, is the usercfg tool to understand both shadow passwords and quotas!!
And some form of secure suid wrapper to allow designated non-root users to
perform maintenance tasks such as account adding, quota modifying etc.
Incidentally, on the topic of shadow, what is on the list of "things that
will break" if you run shadow?
xlock is one, for the obvious reason it is not suid root (and the shadow
file is protected). Is xlock verified or supposed to be safe, as suid
root?
vlock broke too, but I'm not so concerned about that.
