Can you post output of:
cat /proc/ioports
cat /proc/interrupts
cat /dev/sndstat
...and maybe we find some conflicts in there? What else is your
IRQ5 occupied with? E.g. it can be shared by your Soundcard
and your Soundcard's MPU 401 but by nothing else! Is your modem
taking IRQ5 maybe?
